QEMU

7.2.0

QEMU: Powerful simulating software for complete systems with one or more processors and peripheral components.

QEMU is a software for processor emulation and virtualization, and it relies on dynamic binary translation to provide high emulation speed, and it was designed to help users simulate a complete system with one or more processors and peripheral components.

Its full platform virtualization will allow the users to launch different operating systems on a host machine, while the app-level virtualization mode will be useful for cross-compilation and debugging.

It is compatible with a huge range of hardware devices, which includes PCs with 32-bit or 64-bit architectures, (e.g. PowerPC processors, Sparc processors, Malta boards, MIPS Magnum, ARM Integrators, and baseboards, PXA270 processors, Palm Tungsten PDAs, N800 and N810 tables, MusicPal devices, etc.).

The emulation modes that it supports are PCs, PowerPCs, ARM, MIPS, MicroBlaze, Sparc, ColdFire, Alpha, and CRISv32 CPUs.

Bottom line, QEMU is a great software for simulating a complete system with one or more processors and peripheral components, while even able to launch processes for a specific CPU in user mode.
