DbVisualizer: A reliable application which allows users to easily maintain their databases

DbVisualizer is a capable tool designed to help database administrators and developers manage and maintain their databases in an effortless manner. It comes with a straightforward GUI which allows you to create new database connections by manually adding the information or through the built-in wizard.

To create a new connection you have to enter the alias, then choose a database driver from the provided list or add a new one via the ‘Driver Manager’. After hitting the Next button you can add more details regarding the DB server as well as ping it to check if it’s capable of establishing a connection.

Once you went through all the necessary steps you can complete the task by click on the Finish button. Tight away the database’s contents will be displayed in a tree view mode, from where you can access any section you’re interested to see.

Furthermore, users can select the SQL files they want to open, to view their contents and edit them if needed. The tool also lets you add columns and restraints in multiple tabs in order to create tables. There’s also a ‘Monitoring Data Changes’ function which allows you to monitor any changes that occur over time and use the results to generate database metrics and statistics.
