NVIDIA FleX: A GPU-based application that can perform simulations based on particles for visual effects

NVIDIA FleX is a particle simulation library that can help developers increase the functionality of their applications by using GP power. The comprehensive library included in the program can be tested by users by accessing the executable files located in the SDK’s Bin folder.

Typically, visual effects can be generated using specialized solvers that create elements which are then combined. However, NVDIA FleX uses the same particle representation for all provided object types offering the possibility to create additional effects.

There’s a comprehensive library packed in the development suite which provides various methods to simulate particles such as deformable bodies, phase transition, rope, particles, adhesion, unified solvers and so on, all of which speed up implementation to a significant degree.
