Angry IP Scanner: very fast and small IP scanner

Angry IP Scanner is a small open-source utility that enables fast scanning of IP addresses and their ports.

Angry IP Scanner checks IP addresses to see if they are alive by pinging each one. Optionally it can resolve hostnames, determine the Mac address, scan ports and more. You can use plugins if you want to extend the amount of gathered data about each host.
Angry IP Scanner can also provide NetBIOS information (computer name, workgroup name and currently logged Windows user), favorite IP address ranges, detect web server, customize openers and more.

The scanning results can be saved to CSV, TXT, XML and IP-Port list file formats. Angry IP Scanner is using multithread scanning (separate scanning threads for each scanned IP address), thus highly increasing the scanning speed.
By using plugins Angry IP Scanner can retrieve any information about scanned IPs. Plugins can be written by anyone who possesses Java programming skills.
