Paquet Builder: An effective tool for creating and customizing Self-Extracting 7-Zip packages

Paquet Builder is a comprehensive application for archive management, perfectly suitable for professionals. The tool relies on 7-zip compression to create packages and it lets you convert 7z archives to self-extracting 7z files.

Despite the numerous options and settings provided by Paquet Builder, you’ll find its UI quite easy to work with. It also offers a comprehensive help menu and tutorials to help you quickly understand how the application works.

In the program users can choose the type of project from three options: the standard package which extracts all archived files to a user-defined destination directory, another that can compress setup routines or multimedia projects into one file and a third option for generating one compressed archive that includes all specified files.

Each type of package can be customized in various ways. For example, you can choose the UI theme, change the welcome screen, add details about your business or company, customize the final screen and launch the application or files once the compression is finished.

Paquet Builder also lets you password-protect documents and bundle an uninstaller with your package that can remove the installed files and Registry items. The executable file can be customized as well, thus you can change the splash screen, icons, version info and many other aspects. Among other useful options, the tool also lets you add digital signatures to your packages and create multilingual packages that support Unicode.

Once a compression task is complete, the application generates a log which can be exported as an RTF document, offering all details, like errors (if any), the files that were compressed and others.
