Tropy: An intuitive application that lets you efficiently organize and annotate your photos for your research projects

Tropy is a small and practical Electron-based application designed to help you organize and annotate research photos.

To create a new project, add your photos via drag and drop or using the included file browser. Then, you can view the photos as a list or a grid and organize them using lists and tags.

You can also rely on Tropy to enter metadata in the dedicated panel. If you double-click on a photo the Item View area will open. Here, you can take notes, view the image metadata and transcribe the item.

You can even permanently select a specific area of the image and add basic metadata and separate notes for it.
