Audiveris

Audiveris: Reliable application for performing OCR operations on scanned music files.

The purpose of Audiveris is to provide users with OCR functions for scanned music sheets and uses Tesseract as an Optical Recognition Engine.

The program comes with support for many formats in which they can load the music sheets from image files (e.g. PNG, BMP, JPG, TIFF, PDF, etc.) while also high-resolution pictures are being recommended if the users want to obtain a faster and more efficient result.

Users will have the possibility to select the preferred visualization mode, as Logical, Physical, or Combined, depending on their needs, and from the context menu, they can Dump voices or chords.

They can print the results in PDF format, while also being able to export them to a MusicXML file format.

All in all, Audiveris is one of the most reliable tools for users that need to perform OCR operations on scanned music files, in order to obtain the best quality results.
