Jniz is a music notation application that enables composers to create and export music, bundling a rich collection of score editing and voice harmonization functions.

The main window provides several staves where you can place musical notes and create a pitch sequence. It's possible to change the stave type, clean, delete, and send it to the built-in player by right-clicking on each set of lines.

The software complies with current music notation regulations and standards, allowing you to easily place notes on the stave. Spotting non-harmonic tones on the stave is simplified thanks to the color-coding. You should also know that a note must be included in the currently selected key to be accepted.

Jniz provides support for shortcut keys and enables you to edit items. Multiple sequences are supported as well, which also makes it possible to use a real-time sequencer if a MIDI keyboard is connected.

The program allows you to customize the tempo, switch to another instrument, and change the time signature for each empty stave in a convenient manner. Numerous instruments are supported by Jniz, such as pianos, organs, clarinets, xylophones, harps, electric guitars, flutes, violins, and the list goes on.

Other useful tools Jniz provides include audio to MIDI conversion, chords recognition, and sound scaling options. It's possible to export pitch sequences to MusicXml, MIDI, PDF, or LillyPond formats, as well as native JNZ files.
