File Scavenger Hard Drive Install: File undelete and data recovery utility

File Scavenger is an advanced data recovery utility for NTFS volumes on Windows based systems. The program is capable of recovering deleted files, even if they have been also removed from Recycle Bin, in a DOS windows, from a network drive and from Windows Explorer (by holding down the SHIFT key), as long as the files haven’t been permanently overwritten by Windows.

File Scavenger is a perfect solution for data recovery from corrupted or reformatted volumes, even if a volume was deleted and its original position and size on disk are unknown. Through its Defunct Volume Search function, the program can look for traces of defunct volumes by scanning the entire physical drive. The program can handle disks with bad sectors and severly corrupted partitions using highly advanced algorithms.

Note: File Scavenger can only restore files if their allocated disk areas have not been overwritten with new data.
