NetTraffic: A friendly utility you can use to monitor your network bandwidth

There’s a plethora of network utilities which bundle bandwidth monitoring capabilities, but if you need a simple, lightweight tool, you should definitely try NetTraffic. This intuitive application can monitor both outgoing and incoming network traffic with a minimal setup being required.

The program runs in the system tray area and clicking the icon which resides there opens a window showing a real-time graph of your network’s traffic. If you want to easily keep an eye on input and output packets you can set NetTraffic’s window to always stay on top of other applications.

Among the stats provided by the program you can see the total number of packets, sent and received packets, elapsed time and the cursor location for average one, current state and prognosis for the past hour, day, month or year.

The tool also lets you generate charts for a certain time period, select the time unit and chart mode. NetTraffic supports multiple languages you can access in the application’s options menu, but also the ability to change the UI’s transparency, an automated update check function, choose a different network interface, set the tool to automatically run at system startup and more.

On top of that, the application allows you to easily import and export data as well as reset the stats with one click.
