AnyReader
3.18 Build 1140AnyReader: A lightweight application capable of recovering data from scratched CDs and DVDs, defective floppy disks and other type of disks
Storage media such as CDs, DVDs and even the old floppy disks can easily get damaged, preventing you from accessing the contained data. Luckily, there are dedicated tools such as AnyReader that are capable of recovering data from defective or damaged disks with very little effort required from your part. With AnyReader you can easily copy files from disks that are physically damaged, have bad sectors as well as other problems. This can be done by defining the output folder and setting the tool to maintain the structure of the original directory. The tool can read data from a variety of damaged disk types such as DVDs, CDs, Blu-rays, rip audio CDs and even create ISO images from disks.
The application also lets you customize the copying settings, thus you can choose how many attempts should be performed for reading bad sectors, set the program to pause between retrying attempts and define the skipped sector value.
When the recovery job is completed, the application displays file related information such as size, name, status, bad sectors and recoverability percentage. You can also use AnyReader to generate HTML reports. The program allows you to copy files from a remote computer if the network connection is unstable and merge two damaged files into one.
