CDex: Save music tracks from audio CDs as popular formats like MP3, WAV and OGG

If you’ve been searching for a simple, yet reliable application to extract tracks from your CDs and save them onto your computer, you should definitely try Cdex.

This free application lets you save tracks from your audio CDs as WAV, OGG, MP3, FAAC, APE and WMA8 files and create PLS and M3U music playlists.

The application lets you see and store tracks’ information for any loaded CD thanks to its Compact Disc Database support. Extracted tracks can be normalized and the program also allows you to convert WAV files.

Regarding the audio information related to the ripped tracks, Cdex supports several file tag formats such as ID3v1 and ID3v2, allowing you to add song data during the extraction process.

Furthermore, the program comes with recording capabilities so you can use Cdex to capture sound from any device that’s connected through an analog input line.
